I saw this 10 card pack for $1 and wanted a close encounter with a top notch gimmick, so I picked it up. Here is what the base cards look like. The gimmick is that this set was made up of one card for each MLB game in the 2008 season. It is a relatively nice looking card, but the big problem (outside the gimmick) is that the photo has nothing to do with the game.
So, one might ask why post this? Well, I was actually at this particular game! Want proof, here you go:
I think it was kind of cool that in the one pack, probably the only pack, I will ever buy of this set I pulled one of the 15 or so MLB games I was at in 2008. In fact, I think I am going to try to collect every card from this set that corresponds to an actual game I was at. I already keep a binder filled with the ticket stubs and box scores of all the games I have attended, so these cards will go in there. It will probably be tough to get them all, but COMC seems to have a bunch of them so I will check there first. If you have any, let me know and I'll send you a list of the games I went to in 2008 and we can work out a deal. I'll probably get around to adding them to my want list in a few days.

Update: I found four of the games I went to on COMC, plus the one above means I now own five of the twelve I would need. The other seven dates are now in my Want List.
