So, I stopped by what ended up being a relatively disappointing card show late last month right before Opening Day.
But the one saving grace was this Eddie Matthews stadium seat card from old Milwaukee County Stadium. I already have three other stadium seat relic cards, as well as an outfield wall relic card, so I jumped at the opportunity to grab another for a reasonable price.
I am interested in what other people think about these sorts of relic cards: more or less interesting than bat or jersey cards?
I won a few seat cards in a contest last year. I don't know if they qualify as player relic cards, though.
ReplyDeleteHere's what I'd love to see on the back of the card:
"On this seat, on June 3, 1962, Mrs. Henry Flathead peed herself when a foul ball hit the seat next to her. She wasn't paying attention. The Colt .45s won the game, 10-3"
Hahaha, good one!
ReplyDeleteI kind of agree with you, in my collection I do not put them with player relic cards, but in a separate section for stadium relics.
